Dropping Courses with a Permission to Drop (PTD) To drop a 10-day-drop course after the 10th day of instruction, or a 20-day-drop course after the 20th day of instruction, but on or before the last day of instruction, college Dean's office approval is required.

The elementary education program prepares students in all subjects commonly taught in an elementary classroom. The secondary education program prepares teachers for the grades 7-12 classroom in the following areas: Agriculture, English, Physical and Life Sciences, Math, and Social Sciences.

PTA numbers will only be issued to you after the 12th day of instruction (when the waitlist ends). Requests for PTA numbers cannot be approved by the instructor if the course has a waitlist. PTA numbers are granted by the department directly by emailing stat-advising@ucdavis.edu with your documentation.

In order to transfer to another institution, you must maintain valid F-1 or J-1 status. You must apply to transfer to the new institution: F-1 – within 60 days after the last day attended at UC Davis. F-1 Post-Completion OPT – within 60 days after the end date on your EAD card.

The Planned Educational Leave Program allows any registered student-undergraduate or graduate-to temporarily suspend academic work at UC Davis. Undergraduates may take one such leave during their academic career at UC Davis and that leave is limited to one quarter in duration.

Undergraduate Students You must submit a PELP application for each term you wish to be on leave. New undergraduate students should contact Undergraduate Admissions regarding deferral of their admission term before considering PELP.
