Scarlet Promise Grants are need-based financial aid awards that close the gap between aid from federal and state sources and what Rutgers families can afford.

To attend Rutgers for four years, including tuition and fees, room and board, books, and other fees, the total would be $139,120 for in-state students, based on 2022-23 numbers.

A form for the academic year in which you wish to appeal for additional aid must be completed and submitted for review. Additional documentation will be requested in order for the form to be reviewed. Complete the 2022-2023 PJ Request Form if you are appealing your financial aid awards from September 2022-June 2023.
