How to fill out the Rumke Table online

The Rumke Table is a vital document used for data analysis in laboratory settings. This guide will provide detailed, step-by-step instructions on how to accurately fill out this form online, ensuring all necessary information is recorded correctly.

Follow the steps to complete the Rumke Table accurately.

  1. Click the ‘Get Form’ button to access the Rumke Table and open it for editing.
  2. First, enter the full name and address of the laboratory at the designated header section. This is essential for proper documentation and should be accurate.
  3. Fill in the date of study and the technologist's name in the specified fields. These details help in tracking the analysis and should reflect the current date.
  4. For each sample ID number listed, complete the corresponding fields for neutrophils, monocytes, lymphocytes, eosinophils, and basophils. Ensure you input the values gathered from your analysis for manual acceptable differential counts.
  5. In the 'Diff Range' section, indicate the acceptable range for each type of cell. This helps in understanding the result contextually.
  6. Make sure to check the '% Pass' fields as you complete each cell type. This percentage represents the pass rate for each sample and must be calculated accurately based on your data.
  7. Once all information is filled out, review the entire document for any errors or omissions. Accuracy is crucial in lab analysis documentation.
  8. After finalizing the entries, save your changes to ensure no data is lost. You can download, print, or share the form as needed at this stage.

Complete your documents online to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

A CBC with manual differential test is similar to a CBC with differential, but it includes an additional step where a laboratory technician manually reviews the blood smear slide to count and identify the different types of white blood cells.

The automated differential blood count is less time-consuming and less expensive than routine examination of blood smear. With the automated technique, thousands of white blood cells can be examined, whereas typically 100-200 white blood cells are examined by visual examination.

The automated instruments count 32,000 white blood cells and statistically provide a more accurate differential count than a manual differential. All differentials will be analyzed on the instrument first. If the results fail the screening criteria, a manual differential will be performed.

The blood differential test measures the percentage of each type of white blood cell (WBC) that you have in your blood. It also reveals if there are any abnormal or immature cells. Blood transports oxygen and nutrients to body tissues and returns waste and carbon dioxide.

The automated differential reports out groups of white blood cell types. With a manual differential, those groups are more specifically differentiated including immature neutrophils (bands) and atypical lymphocytes which are not routinely reported with an automated differential.
