To qualify: An application must be on file with the Office of Tax and Revenue; The property must be occupied by the owner/applicant and contain no more than five dwelling units (including the unit occupied by the owner); and. The property must be the principal residence (domicile) of the owner/applicant.

You must be a DC resident who owned a home, apartment, or condo and lived there during all of 2022. Your 2022 income must have been $57,600 or less ($78,600 or less if you are age 70 or older). You are not claimed as a dependent on someone else's tax return. The property you live in is subject to real property taxes.

Standard Deduction: From $12,550 to $12,950 for single and married/registered domestic partner filers filing separately. From $18,800 to $19,400 for head of household filers. From $25,100 to $25,900 for married/registered partners filing jointly and qualifying widow(er) with dependent child(ren) filers.

Schedule H: The Homeowner and Renter Property Tax Credit amounts for Tax Year 2021 are: Property tax credit increases from $1,200 to $1,225. Schedule H federal AGI eligibility threshold for under age 70 increases to $56,200. Schedule H federal AGI eligibility threshold for age 70 and older increases to $76,700.
