Creating a form using Microsoft Forms is a straightforward process that allows users to generate surveys, quizzes, and polls. This guide offers a step-by-step approach to filling out the form online, ensuring even those with minimal experience can navigate the process confidently.
Follow the steps to create your own form online:
- Press ‘Get Form’ button to access the form and open it in the online editor.
- Enter a name for your form. This can include up to 90 characters, and you may also add an optional subtitle with up to 1,000 characters.
- Click Add Question to insert a new question. You may choose different types of questions such as Choice, Text, Rating, or Date.
- For choice questions, provide the question text and each of the answer choices. To add more choices, use Add Option. You can remove choices using the trash can button and make a question required or allow multiple choices through the settings.
- Add more questions as needed. Utilize the Up and Down arrows to rearrange questions. If you choose a text question, select the Long Answer option for a larger text box.
- For text questions, click More settings for question to set restrictions, such as limiting answers to specific number ranges.
- Click Preview to view how your form will appear. Test your form by entering responses in this mode and click Submit.
- Click Mobile to see how your form will look on mobile devices and return to the editor when finished previewing.
- To adjust form settings, click the ellipses button (...) and select Settings. Here, you can modify who can respond, set deadlines, and enable notifications.
- Send your completed form for responses through various methods such as sharing a link, sending a QR code, embedding the form in a webpage, or inviting others by email.
- After collecting responses, view the summary and individual response details by selecting the Responses tab. You can export these results to Excel for further analysis.
