A. Transcripts are generated by the education board of conduct, which can be received from the academic institute where you have pursued your education. These may either be procured by visiting the institution physically or by contacting the authorities and requesting them to send them via post.

The PDF transcript is the same as an official paper transcript and should not be altered in any way, including the color(s).

How to request your official transcripts. Most colleges allow you to order copies of transcripts online, by mail, or in person via the office of admissions or registrar's office. You'll complete a transcript request form, pay a small fee, and may have to provide proof of identification.

Hard-copy transcripts and other academic records are considered "official" when they arrive in a sealed, stamped, official envelope with the seal and any other security feature intact.

Tips for writing a transcript request letter Highlight that you were a student in the institution. Mention the course taken, the years attended, and date of graduation. Justify the reason for requesting the transcript. Mention the company or institution requesting for the transcript. Describe the urgency of the transcript.

An Academic Transcript can also be known as an Academic Record. There is no difference between these two terms; they are the same document.

Official transcripts are issued in portrait format and contain the seal of the university and the signature of the University Registrar. Unofficial transcripts are available to current students via self-service from the Student Information System. (See Viewing Unofficial Transcript.)
