£5.28 per hour if you're under 19, and/or in the first year of your MA. £7.49 per hour as you advance into your second year if you're aged 19 or 20, £10.18 per hour if you fall into the 21-22 age bracket, or the National Living Wage (NLW) of £10.42 if you're 23 and over.

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) contributes to the costs of training and assessing Modern Apprentices. In most cases we pay the learning provider you choose to deliver the apprenticeship. The level of our contribution depends on the: age of the apprentice.

Scottish Vocational Qualifications (SVQ) Modern Apprenticeships can include SVQs from SCQF level 5 through to SCQF level 12, although the majority of MA frameworks are at SCQF levels 6 and 7.

The level 6 apprenticeship gives candidates the opportunity to obtain a full bachelor's degree. The level 7 is an opportunity to gain a masters degree in your chosen subject.
