Get ADI 21AT Instructor Training Declaration

The 4 Hour Basic Driver Improvement course (BDI class) is the most common Florida Traffic School taken by drivers who have received a traffic ticket. The course is typically taken as an "Election Option" to receive an 18% discount on your fine, to keep points off your record and avoid a court appearance.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) have recently changed how driving instructors qualify to become Approved Driving Instructors (ADIs). Until a trainee passes their final exam, they are known as Potential Driving Instructors (PDIs) although they are often referred to as trainee instructors.

When a PDI has passed 2 out of the 3 tests required to qualify as an ADI, and completed at least 40 hours of training with a DVSA-approved instructor, they have the option of applying for a trainee licence. Once obtained, this gives them the ability to charge learners for driving lessons.

You can take Florida traffic school once in a year period, but no more than 5 total times.

Once the clerk is notified of a driver's intent to attend a course, they have between 60 and 90 days from the date of the citation to complete the course and present proof of completion to the clerk of court in the county where the citation was issued.

Remember, however, that the ADI course is not a DUI course and will not qualify for that offense. After finishing the registration process you will be taken to a payment screen. Ticket School accepts all major credit and debit cards.

The licence is valid for 6 months. Once you have passed Part 2 you will enter into our 'Support Agreement'. This will allow you to continue working in your current job while you start teaching real life pupils to get experience, 'earn as you learn' and start building your diary towards your goals.

This is not just a normal test though, it's an advanced driving test that demands a very high level of skill. You'll have to drive using a safe, methodical system that allows you to make progress whenever possible.
