GST exemption for start-ups and small businesses Any business with a turnover of less than Rs. 40 lakhs is recognised as a GST-exempt business. Businesses that have a lower annual aggregate turnover than Rs. 1.5 crores can avail of a composition scheme under GST.

Businesses and individuals are exempt from GST if their annual aggregate turnover is less than a specific amount. At the time of GST implementation in July 2017, businesses/individuals with annual aggregate turnover of less than Rs. 20 lakhs were allowed GST exemption.

A generation-skipping trust (GST) is a legally binding agreement in which assets are passed down to the grantor's grandchildren—or anyone at least 37½ years younger—bypassing the next generation of the grantor's children.
