A small hauler (SH) permit is required for any small hauling business with one vehicle that is engaged in a business requiring the transport of solid waste and/or recyclable materials in Miami-Dade County. Permitted Small Haulers may dispose at any Miami-Dade County approved disposal or recycling facility.

Municipal solid waste or MSW means solid phase household, commercial/retail, and/or institutional waste. Household waste includes material discarded by single and multiple residential dwellings, hotels, motels, and other similar permanent or temporary housing establishments or facilities.
