The Enablon Management of Change (MOC) application allows companies to manage organizational changes and changes to procedures, processes, equipment, products, etc., in order to mitigate risk, ensure proper procedure methodology and regulatory compliance.

Examples of company changes that require an MOC evaluation include increasing the number of employees completing a process, changing the chemicals used in a production line, or upgrading a piece of equipment. These changes, left unchecked, could increase employee injury, damaged equipment, or environmental pollution.

MOC | 3. 1) Initiate the Management of Change Procedure. Changes which could affect the storage of hazardous chemicals may be initiated from within management. Any change to equipment, process chemicals, technology or operating procedures requires the submission of a MOC Form (see Attachment A).

In other words, if organizational changes necessitate changes to process chemicals, technology, equipment, procedures, or facilities, an MOC procedure would be required to ensure that resulting changes are managed and implemented in a manner that assures continued safe operations.

The objective of this Management of Change (MOC) procedure is to ensure that changes to the hazardous chemical inventory are properly reviewed and recorded and that hazards introduced by the implementation of the change are identified and controlled before the change is implemented.

The three most common types are administrative MOC, organizational MOC, and technical MOC.
