Payment of $18.00 via Certified Check, Money Order, or Cashier’s Check made payable to 'Division of State Police - SBI' is required unless applying simultaneously for ID Card.
  10. If applying for a Duplicate I.D. Card, submit the relevant application along with the old card (if available), the Criminal History Record form, and the payment of $18.00 as outlined.

NEW JERSEY STATE LAW REQUIRES THAT ALL FIREARMS MUST BE STORED, UNLOADED, IN A SECURELY LOCKED GUN SAFE OR LOCKED CONTAINER, AND ALL AMMUNITION MUST BE STORED SEPARATELY FROM THE FIREARM.

If you qualify to receive an FPIC or permit to purchase a handgun, it should be issued within 30 days.

Connecticut does not impose a waiting period on firearm purchases or transfers. However, a purchaser or transferee must obtain a permit or certificate prior to receiving a firearm.
