Power of Attorney Delegating Parental Powers for Minor Child IC 29-3-9-1(c) provides that a parent may delegate any powers regarding health care, support, custody, or property of the minor to another person.

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 48.979, a parent who has legal custody of a child, by a power of attorney that is properly executed by all parents who have legal custody of the child, may delegate his or her powers regarding the care and custody of the child to an agent for a specified period of time.

In Arizona, a parent of a minor (under age 18) may delegate to another person any powers he may have regarding the care, custody, or property of the minor child, except the power to consent to marriage or adoption of the minor.

Parental authority refers to parents' rights and responsibilities toward their children from the minute they are born until they turn 18. Under their parental authority, parents make decisions that affect their children's well-being.
