A conditional use permit only authorizes the use specifically described in the permit. The use may not be changed or expanded and is strictly subject to the conditions specified in the permit. A Conditional Use Permit (CUP) is an approval for a specific type of use or activity that, although not a preferred use in a zoning district, may be allowed subject to conditions for construction and/or operation.
