Job Overview As an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist, you'll be the Army's preeminent tactical and technical explosives expert. You'll have the advanced training and critical skills needed to disable and defeat explosive devices and weapons of mass destruction.

Officers who fail to pass EOD School will revert to their basic branch. Duty Stations: Upon graduation of Phase 2, Officers are officially EOD qualified and will proceed to their first EOD duty assignment.

The U.S. Army McMahon Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training Center is located on Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia. A branch of the U.S. Army's Ordnance School, McMahon trains soldiers and members of other services on EOD skills.

Requirements Be a college graduate with at least a four-year degree. Be between 18 and 34 years old. Officer Basic Leadership Course (Or Additional Special Courses/Qualifications) Eligible for a Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. citizen.

QUALIFICATIONS Height must be no less than 62 inches and no more than 80 inches. Successful completion of the EOD Physical Ability and Stamina Test. Minimum score of 30 on EOD selection model. Normal depth perception. No record of claustrophobia. No record of emotional instability.
