Disenrollment is complex. We see ROTC programs attempt to kick a cadet out when a cadet fails to meet physical fitness or weight control requirements or fails to maintain a high enough GPA without affording cadets proper due process.

Northwest offers the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) off campus at Missouri Western State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Army ROTC provides an opportunity for qualified college students to pursue a commission in the United States Army while attending college as a full-time student.

AFROTC Detachment 440, established in 1946, serves the University of Missouri, Central Methodist University, University of Central Missouri, Columbia College, Stephens College, Westminster College, and William Woods University.

Any cadet interested in developing leadership skills in a challenging environment will benefit from Army ROTC and there is no better unit than the Tiger Battalion at the University of Missouri.

After the freshman year, if one withdraws or is disenrolled they will be obligated to repay all scholarship payments and/or serve on active duty as an enlisted person. Generally, the longer a person is in ROTC, the more likely they will be required to serve on active duty as enlisted to serve out their commitment.

In UCM's Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program, you'll develop the necessary leadership skills for military and professional success.

If you sign a contract, your service obligation will be 8 years. However, how you serve those 8 years depends on where you go. If you go into the National Guard or Army Reserve, you will have to serve all 8 years serving part-time (1 weekend a month and 2 weeks during the summer).
