You can usually request and receive unofficial transcripts fairly quickly through your college's website or in person at the registrar's office.

You will need your student ID as well as your user ID and password for your online university profile to order your transcript. Go to your university's website, type in your information, and look in the enrollment and admissions section to order official transcripts.

Official transcript should be submitted by your counselor. If the counselor submits online, the transcript should be attached to your school forms. Otherwise, transcripts should be sent directly to the schools to which you are applying. Please contact each admissions office for the exact address or procedure.

You can't personally provide the transcript because it must be an official transcript received directly from your high school. If a college does accept unofficial transcripts, you can request one from your guidance counselor and send it yourself.

Most colleges and universities have an Office of the Registrar or Office of Records, which is the department responsible for keeping transcripts current, enrollment status and student records. Contact the Registrar's Office to request an official transcript.
