Welcome to the Vermont Department of Labor Internet C-101 Quarterly Wage and Contribution Reporting System.

The current maximum weekly benefit amount is $531. *This amount applies only to regular unemployment insurance benefits, and goes not apply to federal programs enacted in response to COVID-19.

You may qualify for regular Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits. If eligible, you can receive up to 26 weeks of benefits.

Quit: If the individual quit a job for reasons not related to something the employer did, he or she will be disqualified from receiving benefits until he or she goes back to work, earns six times his or her weekly benefit amount, and then becomes unemployed again, through no fault of their own.

Fax: Employers may fax the following to the Vermont Department of Labor at (802) 828-4286. The Vermont Department of Labor's C-61 New Hire Reporting Form; • A form the employer created that includes the seven required data elements; • A copy of the W-4 form.

If you become unemployed and have worked in Vermont anytime in the past 18 months, you may be eligible to receive unemployment insurance benefits. Once you become totally or partially unemployed, the time to establish a new claim is during the first week you work less than 35 hours.

If you work 35 hours or more or your earnings exceed your weekly benefit amount plus your disregarded earnings, you will be considered fully employed and will not be entitled to receive benefit for that week.
