We may need to activate a currency in your Wise Account in order to credit you the refund. 6.5 No negative balance in your Wise Account. You must not make purchases that exceed the amount of electronic money available in your Wise Account.

Your money is safeguarded and not covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), or another protection scheme that you would get with a bank account. You can't get an overdraft or loan. You won't earn interest.

We're licensed to hold your money and, as part of keeping it safe, we follow strict rules set out by the regulators in the countries where we operate. As of 30 September 2022, our customers are trusting us with the equivalent of 9.2 billion GBP in their Wise accounts.

There is a monthly $10 fee; however, there is no minimum balance requirement, no minimum opening deposit requirement, no incoming wire fees, and no early account closing fees.

You must only use the Services to transact on your own account and not on behalf of any other person or entity. You may only open one Wise Account unless we explicitly approve the opening of additional accounts. Wise may refuse the creation of duplicate accounts for the same user.

Your account becomes negative when the balance goes below zero. It's also called an overdraft. This occurs when you make payments that you don't have enough money in the account to cover. If the bank accepts the payment, your account incurs a debt, making your balance negative.
