Post-Registration is the final phase of the Real Estate Salesperson Program. Learners must complete Post-Registration to be eligible to renew their registration at the end of their initial two-year registration cycle with RECO.

There are two steps you must follow: Complete your education requirements. Complete your online renewal application for salesperson/broker via MyWeb. All of these steps can be completed on MyWeb, RECO's exclusive online portal that is available to all registrants. It's free to sign up and it's easy to use.

Post-Registration is the final phase of the Real Estate Salesperson Program. Learners must complete Post-Registration to be eligible to renew their registration at the end of their initial two-year registration cycle with RECO.

Failing to renew their license on or before their specific renewal date, will result in being ordered to cease and desist trading real estate in Ontario. If the agent does not reinstate his license within 2 years from failure to renew date, R.E.C.O. will terminate the license with no further option of reinstatement.

You have one year to complete your registration from the time you complete pre-registration. You can start trading in real estate once you are registered with RECO. To be eligible to renew your registration at the end of your initial two-year registration cycle with RECO, you must complete the Post-Registration Phase.

All licences expire on September 30 each year. To remain licensed, real estate, mortgage brokerage, property management, and condominium management licensees must renew on or before September 30. RECA will send a notice to remind brokers that they can begin renewing.

You have one year to complete your registration from the time you complete pre-registration. You can start trading in real estate once you are registered with RECO. To be eligible to renew your registration at the end of your initial two-year registration cycle with RECO, you must complete the Post-Registration Phase.

RECO license renewal fees are payable every 2 years and are currently $340 for all licensees. RECO Insurance is $500 annually. You must still completed your Continuing Education credits every 2 year cycle including the RECO update course. The cost is bundled with your license (registration) renewal fee.

This is just the fee to complete the courses, there are additional startup fees like insurance and local real estate board fees. To be safe, you should estimate a total startup cost of $7500 to get your real estate license in Ontario.
