The Texaco Gasification Process (TGP) is an entrained-bed, noncatalytic, partial oxidation process in which carbonaceous substances react at elevated temperatures and pressures, producing a gas containing mainly carbon monoxide and hydrogen (see figure below).

In the gasifier, four primary decomposition steps, i.e., drying, pyrolysis, partial oxidation, and reduction, occur. The different types of gasifier always have different positions and residence time of each step to occur, which will determine the gas composition and gasification efficiency (Molino et al., 2016).

The Texaco Gasification Process (TGP) is an entrained-bed, noncatalytic, partial oxidation process in which carbonaceous substances react at elevated temperatures and pressures, producing a gas containing mainly carbon monoxide and hydrogen (see figure below).

Gasification is made up for five discrete thermal processes: Drying, Pyrolysis, Combustion, Cracking, and Reduction.

Gasification is a process that converts organic or fossil-based carbonaceous materials at high temperatures (>700°C), without combustion, with a controlled amount of oxygen and/or steam into carbon monoxide, hydrogen, and carbon dioxide.
