State laws require that all New Hampshire employers, regardless of the profession, keep a true record of all work hours on a daily basis for all employees. The minimum wage rate in New Hampshire matches the federal minimum requirements, which are set at $7.25.

If an employee quits or resigns, the wages are due by the next regular payday, except if the employee gives one pay notice to quit the employer shall pay all wages due within 72 hours.. If fired, the wages are due within 72 hours from the time of the termination (RSA 275:44).

New Hampshire law doesn't demand paid or unpaid vacation. In New Hampshire, there are no federal or state laws that mandate employers to give their workers paid or unpaid vacation time.

In other words, an employer cannot fire someone because of their age, sex, race, color, marital status, physical or mental disability, religious creed, national origin or sexual orientation. This law is codified by the Legislature in New Hampshire R.S.A. 354-A:7.

Unless otherwise provided by statute, no person, firm or corporation shall employ any employee at an hourly rate lower than that set forth in the federal minimum wage law, which is $7.25.

The minimum wage in New Hampshire is the same as the federal minimum wage, $7.25 per hour. There are exceptions to the minimum wage requirement such as for tipped employees and minors.

Payment of Accrued, Unused Vacation on Termination This means that an employer may implement their own policy regarding this issue. However, when a policy is not clear about whether an employee must be paid for unused vacation time upon separation, typically the employer is required to pay the employee for this time.

Severance pay is often granted to employees upon termination of employment. It is usually based on length of employment for which an employee is eligible upon termination. There is no requirement in the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) for severance pay.
