This educational funding is for Florida National Guard soldiers and airmen. The Educational Dollars for Duty (EDD) program provides up to 100% public tuition for the period of the Guard member's service once he or she becomes eligible, and as long as funding is available.

To join the National Guard without prior service, you must meet these mandatory requirements: Be between the ages of 17 and 35. Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate. Achieve a minimum score on the ASVAB test.

Tuition Assistance (TA) Nearly all active-duty military service members are eligible for TA. However, each service branch determines eligibility criteria. Tuition Assistance covers up to $250 per semester credit hour, not to exceed $4,500 per fiscal year.
