  6. If you entered -0- on line 2, skip lines 4 and 5 and move on to line 6. If not, enter your state general sales tax rate on line 4, also omitting the percentage sign.
  7. On line 5, divide the amount entered on line 3 by the amount on line 4 and enter the result as a decimal rounded to at least three places.
  8. If you did not enter -0- on line 2, multiply the amount on line 2 by the amount on line 3 and enter this result on line 6.
  9. On line 7, enter any state and local general sales taxes paid on specified items, referencing the instructions for this section.
