University Withdrawal The withdraw process at JMU begins when the student (Undergraduate, Graduate, or Doctoral) makes their initial request by submitting the electronic form to the Office of the Registrar, or contacts the Dean of Students to declare their intent to withdraw.

University Withdrawal Students desiring to withdraw after the 3rd week of the current semester should contact the Dean of Students Office to withdraw from JMU. If you wish to formally withdrawal from the University, please contact these offices PRIOR to completing the withdrawal or cancellation form.

In order to transfer to JMU you must formally apply to the university through the Office of Admissions.

Your official transcript may be submitted through the Coalition application. You must attach the transcript to your application before we can retrieve it. Any transcripts sent as an email attachment or fax are considered unofficial and will not be reviewed. After applying, please check your email regularly.

New Students When a student pays the deposit, the money is applied to the student's account. The deadline for this deposit is May 1. Refunds after the stated deadlines will be made only for personal illness certified by a physician or other extenuating circumstances approved by the director of Admissions.
