Four common job evaluation methods are the ranking method, job classification, the factor-comparison method, and the point-factor method.

These levels include: top management level, senior management, professionally qualified/middle management, skilled technical/junior management, semi-skilled, and unskilled. It also provides the status of employment equity in the various economic sectors and business types reported in the 2021.

The Peromnes® methodology evaluates and scores jobs in terms of either six or eight factors. The factors appear as a standardised rating scale. Specific terminology and definitions are applied to each factor; the process requires the evaluator to establish a score per factor based on an understanding of the work.

PURPOSE OF THIS FORM. This form enables employers to comply with Section 21 of the Employment Equity Act 55 of 1998, as amended. This form contains the format for employment equity reporting by designated employers to the Department of Labour.
