2. Enter the date. This should reflect the day when the merchant or agent picks up the parcels.
3. Input the time. Specify the time the parcels are collected by the merchant or agent.
4. Fill in the mailer (alpha) ID. This is the alpha number code located in the bottom right corner of the Parcel Return Service label and should not appear for Hold For Pickup endorsed parcels.
5. Provide the merchant/agent name. Clearly state the name of the individual or entity acting as the merchant or agent.
6. Write the driver's name. Indicate the name of the person driving for the merchant/agent who is responsible for picking up the parcels.
7. Obtain the driver's signature. The driver must sign to confirm their involvement in the parcel pickup process.
8. Secure the USPS dispatch employee signature. This is needed from the USPS employee who scanned the parcels and handed them to the merchant or agent driver.
9. Count and enter the total number of parcels. Record how many parcels were provided to the merchant or agent driver.
10. Check the USPS scan option if each parcel has indeed been scanned as 'Picked Up By Agent'.
11. Add any relevant comments. If necessary, write additional notes or comments pertaining to the parcels.
12. Once all fields are complete, save your changes, and you may download, print, or share the Dispatch Log as needed.
