Super choice gives employees the option to swap out of the default MySuper product or fund that was chosen for them and go to another MySuper product or fund. But only if you want to. The point is you have a choice. But equally it doesn't mean employees can choose any super fund they want either.

What is the superannuation standard choice form? The superannuation standard choice form allows you to nominate the super fund that your employer will make contributions into on your behalf. Currently, the super guarantee requires your employer to contribute a minimum of 9.5% of your eligible income to your super.

Your employer will likely provide you with the ATO's Superannuation Standard Choice Form when you start working for them. Alternatively, you can download it from the ATO's website. There is a section of this form that must be completed by you, and two others that must be completed by your employer.
