(c) The lender shall mail or deliver a copy of an appraisal within 15 days after receiving a written request from the applicant, or within 15 days after receiving the appraisal, whichever occurs later.

For first lien and certain higher-priced mortgage loan applications, mortgage lenders are required to provide you with a free copy of all appraisals and other written valuations that provide an estimate of the value of your home.

What is Appraisal Disclosure? Appraisal Disclosure is a notice in writing of the applicant's right to receive a copy of appraisal report or any other written valuation developed in connection with a loan application that is secured by a first lien on a one to four unit residential property.

A creditor shall provide a copy of each such appraisal or other written valuation promptly upon completion, or three business days prior to consummation of the transaction (for closed-end credit) or account opening (for open-end credit), whichever is earlier.
