The speed of the fan can be decided by the temperature examine by the microcontroller. The microcontroller controls the DC fan using the IC L293D motor control. This IC L293D is a dual H-bridge motor driver used to control the speed and direction of DC motor. It also offers isolation between microcontroller and motor.

Fan speed control is useful for increasing the reliability, reducing the power consumption, and decreasing the noise of systems.

Applications. Temperature Controlled DC Fan can be used to control the temperature of devices, rooms, electronic components etc. by monitoring the temperature. Can be extended to PWM based output, where the speed of the fan can be varied ing to the duty cycle of the PWM signal.

Sensed temperature in Celsius Scale and fan speed in percentage are simultaneously displayed on the LCD panel. The applications areas of this project are air-conditioners, water-heaters, snow-melters, ovens, heat-exchangers, mixers, furnaces, incubators, thermal baths, and veterinary operating tables.

ï‚— Motor fan runs automatically, so that it controls the temperature without using it manually. ï‚— It is very easy to at heat dissipating devices to cool down them. ï‚— Saves the energy by turns OFF the motor fan at normal or low temperature automatically.

This system is responsible for control the cooling system automatically based on the room temperature. The system requires an Arduino board to implement a control system to this project. Since this is proposed to control the speed of the fan by varying the temperature with the help of the IOT technology.
