How to fill out the Gst190 online
The Gst190 form is essential for calculating your Ontario new housing rebate, applicable to certain purchases of new houses in Ontario. This guide will walk you through each section of the form, providing clear and supportive instructions to ensure you can complete it accurately, even with limited legal experience.
Follow the steps to fill out the Gst190 online efficiently.
- Press the ‘Get Form’ button to access the Gst190 form and open it for editing.
- In Section A, provide details about the new house you purchased. Include the city, complete address (apartment number, street number, street name, rural route), province (Ontario), and postal code.
- Move to Section B to calculate the Ontario rebate. Select the appropriate part to complete based on your application type (Part I, II, or III).
- For Part I, if relevant (Application Type 1A or 2), enter the total HST paid on the house and perform the specified calculations to determine the Ontario new housing rebate amount. Note: do not include HST in the purchase price.
- If you are filling out Part II (Application Type 1B or 5), enter the total purchase price without considering land lease or option amounts, and the fair market value of the house at the transfer of possession. Calculate the Ontario new housing rebate amount accordingly.
- For Part III, if applicable (Application Type 3), input the total purchase price for the share of capital stock in a co-op and calculate the Ontario new housing rebate amount.
- Review the completed form for accuracy. If the builder has provided the rebate amount, ensure to submit both this schedule and the Gst190 form together to the builder. If the builder has not provided the rebate, send it directly to the relevant agency along with your supporting documentation.
- Finally, save your changes, download the completed form, or print it for your records.
