To submit a work search log for unemployment in Texas, you need to complete Form PS-304S - Texas Workforce Commission - Twc State Tx. First, gather your job search records, including dates and details of your applications. Then, you can either submit the form online through the Texas Workforce Commission website or send it by mail. Using the form helps ensure you meet the state's requirements and can continue receiving benefits.

The Texas Workforce Commission is charged with auditing businesses to ensure that employee wages are properly reported and appropriate taxes paid on such wages. If TWC rules that an employer has failed to properly report all wages and pay taxes, it will assess back taxes and interest.

For most Texans, the Texas Workforce Commission will require three job searches a week.

Be sure to include: Date of the work search activity. What you did (for example: searched for work at a Workforce Solutions office, applied online for a job, participated in a job fair, applied in person for an opening) Type of job you are seeking.

After you have been unemployed for eight weeks, you must be willing to accept a suitable job that pays at least 75 percent of your normal wage. If you do not apply for suitable work, accept suitable work, or return to your regular self-employment work, TWC may disqualify you for benefits.

You can file a wage claim using TWC's online system or by using a paper form that you print and mail or fax to the Wage and Hour Department. TWC encourages you to file online. Filing online is faster, safer, and the most accurate way to file your claim.

What is the Texas Workforce Commission ( TWC )? TWC is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services such as job matching, recruiting and training to Texas job seekers and employers. TWC also administers the Unemployment Benefits and Unemployment Tax programs.

Acceptable work search activities include, but are not limited to: Registering for work and/or re-employment services with the Texas Workforce Network. Completing a job application in person or online with employers who may reasonably be expected to have openings for suitable work.

TWC set the maximum number of work search activities claimants will be required to complete each week at 3 but, gave each local workforce area the ability to lower the required number based on the COVID-19 case numbers and hospitalizations in their area.
