The MICR on a check is the string of characters that appears at the bottom left of the check. It consists of three groups of numbers, including the bank routing number, the customer's account number, and the check number.

Your MICR number is the long number located at the bottom of your checks and is used for setting up direct deposits and automatic withdrawals from your accounts. This is not the same as your account number.

If your online bank is part of an ATM network, you can deposit cash into your online account via a linked cash machine. You can also consider getting a reloadable prepaid debit card that you can deposit cash onto and link it to your online bank account.

You will have to access the external account and record the amounts. Then login to your Delta Community account, select Transfers tab > A2A External Accounts > Verify Deposit and enter in the amounts to complete the A2A set up process.

There is a nine-digit number at the bottom-left end of the magnetic ink character recognition (MICR) line (the numbers printed in magnetic ink near the bottom of the front of the check). This is the routing code for the bank on which the check is drawn.
