How to remove page breaks in Excel Select the worksheet where you want to delete the page break mark. Click on the Page Break Preview icon under the View tab or click Page Break Preview Button image on the status bar. Now select the page break you need to remove:

On the Home tab, in the Paragraph group, click Show/Hide to show all formatting marks including page breaks. Double-click the page break to select it, then press Delete.

Remove a page break with Find and Replace Click the 'More' button to open all the options, and then click 'Special' and choose 'Manual Page Break'. Leave the Replace box blank, then click 'Replace All' to remove all the manually added page breaks in the document.

You can also remove a page break by dragging it outside of the page break preview area (to the left past the row headers, or up past the column headers). If you cannot drag page breaks, make sure that the drag-and-drop feature is enabled.

The Show Page Breaks option on the Advanced tab will be grayed out if you are in Page Layout view or in Page Break Preview view. This only shows up if you are in Normal View.

To use the Page Break Preview feature, go to the View tab and click on Page Break Preview. This will show you how your data will be divided up into pages based on the current page setup. To protect the page breaks, go back to the View tab and click on Protect Sheet.

Check Your Settings To do this, go to File > Options > Advanced and scroll down to the Editing options section. Make sure the Enable fill handle and cell drag-and-drop option is selected. If this option is disabled, AutoFill will not work. You can also try changing the AutoFill options.

To add a page break, click Insert, and Page Break, then OK. A page break can also be created by holding down the Control key, then pressing Enter.
