Unite Required Field Title For Free

Once you create a List in SharePoint, by default you will see Title as one of the columns in your table which is a mandatory field. You also have the option to add new columns to your table using the Add Column button next to your title.

Here's how: Open the SharePoint site and go to the list. Click ?Settings? then ?List settings?. In List Settings, select ?Views?. Find the view to modify and click its name. Scroll to find the ?Columns? section in the Edit View page. Uncheck the box next to the title column.

IN THE PAGE bit of the webpart, select the list view header text and replace it with a space! If you just delete the header text it will be replaced on publish with the view title, but if you put a space in there it works! You get a gap at the top of the webpart, but no title text.

In SharePoint lists, the title column is required by default. This means that whenever you add a new item, you will need to provide a title. However, there might be times when you want to make the title column optional.

Step 1: Set the Title Field optional Navigate to the list settings >> Click on the ?Title? column under the ?Columns? section. Set the ?Require that this column contains information? to ?No? and save your changes.

The Title field is used to create the record title that serves as the primary identifier of a record. It is automatically generated based on the fields you choose. Up to 5 fields within the app can be appended together to set the record title.

In the ribbon at the top of the screen, click the List tab. Click List Settings. Under the Columns section, click Title. In the Column name field, delete Title and replace it with Name.
