Trade reporting and compliance engine (TRACE), is a United States financial reporting regulation and related system for publicly reporting bond transactions.

Brokers, who are FINRA members and deal with specific fixed-income securities, are required to report their transactions by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) rules.

Firms are required to report trades in ance with established FINRA rules and regulations. These monthly reports cover trades of Treasuries, Securitized Products, Agency Bonds, and Corporate Debt that a member firm reported to the Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine (TRACE).

Each member that is a Party to a Transaction in a TRACE-Eligible Security must report the transaction. A member must report a transaction in a TRACE-Eligible Security as soon as practicable, but no later than within 15 minutes of the Time of Execution, except as otherwise specifically provided below.

Trade Reporting and Compliance Engine (TRACE) is a program developed by the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), which is now known as FINRA, that allows for the reporting of over-the-counter (OTC) transactions pertaining to eligible fixed-income securities.

Transactions executed on a business day at or after :00 a.m. Eastern Time through :59 p.m. Eastern Time (standard TRACE System Hours) must be reported within 15 minutes of the Time of Execution, except as provided in paragraph (a)(1)(C) below.
