Trace Age Resolution For Free

This data is visible on each screen by default and you don't need to add it separately. It's shown under Dates section (right pane, below People pane) and it's called "Created". Answer. The Resolution time will be the difference between the latest, most recent Resolution Date and Created date. Fractions of time are truncated. For example, the Average resolution of 1.7 days will get truncated to 1 day.

Defect Age is the period between the time the defect is detected and the time it was resolved. Resolved means the bug was fixed and tested. Suppose the defect was detected on 1st of Jan at 1 pm and was resolve on 3rd of Jan at 11 am. Its age will be 70 hours.

We can manage the flow of work better by being more data-driven. One of the primary flow metrics to achieve this is Work Item Age. The Definition of this metric from The Kanban Guide is 'The amount of elapsed time between when a work item started and the current time'.
