The Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) Program offers students guaranteed admissions to one of six participating UCs: Davis. Irvine. Merced. Riverside. Santa Barbara. Santa Cruz.

Only students transferring directly from a California community college (CCC) are considered for a TAG, including international students (those with a visa). A CCC transfer student is one who has completed at least 30 semester (45 quarter) UC-transferable units at one or more California community colleges.

Admission to most majors at UCI can be guaranteed through TAG for transfer students who meet the eligibility requirements and complete the online TAG application. To apply to TAG, submit your TAG application between September 1 and 30, and your UC undergraduate application to UCI between October 1 and November 30.

Among UC's nine undergraduate campuses, six offer transfer admission guarantee programs. UCLA, UC Berkeley and UC San Diego do not.

Students can only submit ONE TAG to ONE TAG campus for the term that they are applying for.

In order to be eligible for admission to our university, you must meet the following requirements: Complete 60 semester or 90 quarter UC transferable units by the end of the spring term prior to the desired fall term admission with a minimum 2.4 GPA required for California residents.
