Style number helps you identify specific items. The Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) is the merchant-assigned string to identify a particular product. Companies are able to keep track of the quantities they have in inventory by this number.

If you'd like to have that option for growth, it's best to design your style number system ingly. First of all, consider using 5 digits (you were originally using six and then cut those down to 4). I know I said 4 or 5 digits in my book but I've reconsidered that; I think 5 digits is better.

The style number (or model number) is a naming system for many of our shoes. While most of our "higher-numbered" styles feature more technology than our "lower-numbered" shoes, that is not always the case.

The style number of a product is located on a small, white, paper-like label located under the wash and care labels. The model number (or SKU) of a shoe can be found on a label located on the inside of the shoe tongue. RN stands for registered identification number.

Each garment style can come in different colors. Create your own color code system. You can, for example, have white and beige colors in the range 0000 ? 0999, yellow colors starting at 1000, red colors starting at 2000, and so on. You can also adapt existing color codes from your supplier, in order to keep it simple.

The Style Number is normally a unique number set by the manufacturer to identify the product, and if you want, you can use that number as your SKU.

These are unique identifiers that you assign to each style, color, size, and component of your garment. For example, you might have a style number for a denim jacket, a reference number for each pocket, button, and zipper, and a color code for each wash.
