When writing the date by numbers only, one can separate them by using a hyphen (-), a slash (/), or a dot (.): 05-07-2013, or 05/07/2013, or 05.07. 2013. Omitting the initial zero in the numbers smaller than 10 is also accepted: 5-7-2013, 5/7/2013, or 5.7. 2013.

The international standard recommends writing the date as year, then month, then the day: YYYY-MM-DD.

Place the year before the month and conclude with the day. The same date, which would be 10/09/22 in American English but 09/10/22 in British English becomes 2022-10-09 in the International Standard. You could also write this date out as 2022 October 9. Don't use commas between any of the data points.

International date and time formats typically follow the ISO 8601 format (2023-10-11) for all-numeric dates, write the time using the 24-hour clock (), and notate the date using a day?month?year format (11 October 2023).

Dd/MM/yyyy ? Example: 23/06/2013. yyyy/M/d ? Example: 2013/6/23. yyyy-MM-dd ? Example: 2013-06-23. yyyyMMddTHH:mmzzz ? Example: 20130623T-0500.

In traditional American usage, dates are written in the month?day?year order (e.g. October 11, 2023) with a comma before and after the year if it is not at the end of a sentence, and time in 12-hour notation ( am).

"mm/dd/yyyy" - the date format used in the USA, displays as 03/08/2015. "dd/mm/yyyy" - the date format used by the rest of the world, displays as 08/03/2015. "dd-mmm-yy" - displays as 08-Mar-15 to avoid any confusion : ) "dddd, mmmm d, yyyy" - full date, including the day of the week, displays as Sunday, March 08, 2015.
