Change the column width to automatically fit the contents (auto fit) Select the column or columns that you want to change. Go to Home > Cells > Format. Under Cell Size, select AutoFit Column Width.

Right click the shape. In the menu, choose the option ?Edit Text?. Therefore, you can add the comments into the shape.

You need to tick option View -> Comments . Then you can click the comment and will get green squares allowing to resize the comment box.

Change a Comment Shape Right-click the cell which contains the comment. Click on the border of the comment, to select it. On the QAT, click the Change Shape command, and click on a shape to select it.
