Pennsylvania law requires deeds to be recorded within 90 days after the deed is signed if it is signed in Pennsylvania or within six months if it is signed outside Pennsylvania.

In most counties deeds are searchable on the county government website for free. Copies of historical deeds cost a small fee and can be obtained in person or through request through the county website. All deeds are public record and there are no restrictions to view property ownership of any property for any time.

Deeds Records Access The searching and review of records including all deeds back to 1750, is available online at .landex.com 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Records can also be searched online in the Recorder's Office by appointment only.

Our records date back to 1784, and you are welcome to search our Public Access System for current and historical documents, including: deeds, mortgages, and satisfactions.

You can receive a copy of a deed or mortgage by calling the office at 215-348-6209 or sending a request to the Recorder of Deeds office. The charge is $1 per page. If you want the copy certified there is an additional fee of $1.50. Enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

The Office of the Recorder of Deeds maintains public records and documents, including those pertaining to land ownership, federal and state tax liens, marriages, and military discharges.

Date of this Deed means the date this deed is signed by all the Parties.
