Are you dialing from an Android device, an iOS device, or your trusty old landline? Well, no matter which one, *67 is your ticket to making anonymous outgoing calls, ensuring your caller ID is a mystery to your call recipient.

The classic option of dialing *67 before the number you're calling still works. This only blocks the call you're making at that moment, not any future calls.

You can prevent your number from appearing on a recipient's phone or caller ID device when you place a call using a smartphone or a traditional landline by pressing *67 followed by the number you want to call. The person you're calling only sees a message such as "blocked" or "private number" when their phone rings.

To block your number from being displayed temporarily for a specific call: Enter *67. Enter the number you wish to call (including area code). Tap Call. The words "Private," "Anonymous," or some other indicator will appear on the recipient's phone instead of your mobile number.

It sounds like the person you are calling may be blocking restricted calls, so you can not call them anonymously. If you must call the person, try calling them without using *67 so that your number shows up on their Caller-ID.
