Follow these steps to take out Bates Numbering in your PDF using Acrobat: Open the PDF file containing Bates Numbers. Choose Tools > Edit PDF. In the secondary toolbar, choose More > Bates Numbering > Remove.

The Bates prefix is specified with at least one letter and up to six letters and sequential numbering with seven digits, starting 0000001, unless otherwise instructed at or prior to time of job commencement. The Lexbe eDiscovery Platform (LEP) does not allow Bates Stamping without a prefix.

You cannot edit Bates page numbering after you've added it to a document. You can, however, delete Bates numbering and apply a different Bates numbering formula.

By giving each page a unique reference number, the Bates numbering system makes it easy to reference and retrieve information from a specific page.

Select Edit > Insert > Bates Numbering > Remove to permanently remove Bates numbers from currently open files. Other header and/or footer elements, if any, are retained. An information box instructs you how to interpret the results of the operation.

Choose, Advanced > Document Processing > Bates Numbering > Remove. It is possible to run Batch operations on a PDF Portfolio.
