Lock Up Bullets Settlement For Free

Home Plate is not large and it is filled with refuse (which can be scrapped for building material). However it has some interesting features. Settlers cannot go there, nor is it ever attacked so if you want to store something safely this is the spot.

Build powered doors or walls over the doorway, then remove them when you want to go in. Other than that, or building at an empty settlement, there's no way to stop them. They think they own the place.

Is there a way to stop settlers from sleeping in your bed? Without a mod- assign them to a different bed while in Workshop mode, or deposit the bed in the Workshop and then they'll be auto-assigned to a different one, at least until a new settler joins and steals your bed again. :P.

2 ways I've found. 1) Make sure that each settler has been assigned their own bed as well as a job -or- 2) make the pathing impossible for them (i.e. enclose your room and only fast travel to it).

Most players will store stuff at a settlement, usually in the workbench or in a chest/box they create - this makes it easy for you to find later and you can fast travel there. The only chests/boxes/storage bins in the world that are safe and don't reset are the ones at your settlements.

Locking doors in settlement Open console. Click on the door you wish to lock. type "lock 1"

Face offending settler. Open console (The ~ key if your not in survival mode). Click on the settler and see their ID. Use the following commands in console. prid "the settler's ID number without the quotes" disable. Save game and reload it.

Settlers equipped with a gun by the player character will not consume any ammo, but in order to use that weapon, they need to have at least 1 (one) ammo in their inventory of the type that the equipped weapon uses. That single ammo will never be consumed and acts as infinite ammo.
