If your shipment requires an indirect signature, then you can sign electronically through the FedEx Delivery Manager app or on fedex.com, but you cannot sign electronically for packages requiring an adult or direct signature. You must sign in person for adult or direct signature requirements.

Release Signature on File - The sender or recipient used their option of authorizing delivery of a package with a release signature that FedEx has on file.

For any package requiring an adult signature, the package will only be released to someone 21 or older. A "Waiver of Signature" is initiated by the Sender and authorizes delivery of mail at the letter carrier's discretion (if area is secured and protected from weather) without obtaining the recipient's signature. Note: Waiver of Signature must be checked at time of mailing by the Sender. It cannot be amended in transit.
