There are generally two types of privity contracts: horizontal and vertical. The differences between them include: Horizontal privity exists when the beneficiary of a contract is a third party, and not one of the signatories of the original contract.

Voidable contract A contract entered into with a minor is therefore voidable. This means that the minor can cancel, or avoid any contract at any time before reaching the age of 18 years, and for a reasonable time afterwards. A minor does not have to give any reason for cancelling the contract.
