In United States military contracts, the contract data requirements list (CDRL, pronounced SEE-drill) is a list of authorized data requirements for a specific procurement that forms a part of the contract.

The easiest government contracts to win are 8a government contracts. Competition is low since a fraction of businesses are 8a certified. Sole-source and set-aside contracts that are given as minority contracts are only awarded to businesses with their 8a established.

Subcontract Data Requirements List (SDRL) is a flow-down of CDRL requirements from a prime contractor to a subcontractor. Typically, the prime will organize the SDRL to ensure that subcontractor data submissions align with the technical content, timetable, and other aspects of the prime contract CDRL.

To document these data deliverables, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) and Subcontract Data Requirements Lists (SDRLs) are used. CDRL and SDRL forms list all objects to be delivered, along with other information related to the contract and schedule.

However, CDRLs are different from CLINs and SLINs in that: CDRLs must always have a parent line reference, they can have multiple parent lines, cannot be informational, cannot be funded, has additional information that is captured separately.
