The validator which you have applied in transition which shows the whenever you haven't enter the resolution it will show the error message instead of that validator you simply search for required field validator and apply that validator to the transition screen.

Resolution is a system Field and it's always mandatory. You cannot make it optional from Configuration scheme. You need to remove it from create/edit screen and try creating a task.
