All Wintec saddles are designed with an adjustable gullet system. This provides a quick and easy way of adjusting the width of the saddle to fit correctly over the horses withers.

What is an adjustable gullet saddle? An adjustable gullet saddle means that it has a metal plate in the head of the tree which can be removed and replaced with a different size to alter the head. This differs to a fixed size tree as fixed size trees are build on wooden trees which have metal plates rivetted in place.

Bates saddles are made from top quality leather and feature Cair panels. These saddles offer a great range of adjustability, from the Cair panels, girthing options and changeable gullet plates.

Undo the velcro along the length of the panel. Insert the needed shims into the panel, ensuring that the logo faces towards the tree of the saddle.
